Britney Spears is now being investigated for possible child abuse as she prepares to battle her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two sons.According to tmz.com, Los Angeles family services officials are “conducting an active investigation” into how Britney, 26, treats Sean, 23 months, and Jayden, 11 months.
Britney's lawyer Dennis Wasser appeared at an unscheduled hearing on Tuesday morning in LA County Superior Court’s dependency section, which handles child abuse claims. A lawyer for her estranged husband Kevin Federline was also present at the private hearing.
The mother of two came under fire last year for driving with her children sitting unrestrained on her lap and almost dropping one of her sons.
